How To Get To Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is the southernmost village of the famous Cinque Terre in Italy. Reaching this charming locale is simple and convenient.

By Train: The easiest way to arrive is by train. Riomaggiore is part of the Genoa-La Spezia railway line. Trains run frequently, about every 20 minutes from La Spezia, and the journey takes only around 8-10 minutes. The station is within the village and accessed via a short tunnel.

Nearest Airports: Fly into Genoa Airport, Pisa Airport, or Milan Malpensa Airport. From any of these airports, you can take a train or rent a car to reach La Spezia, then continue to Riomaggiore by train. To make your arrival hassle-free, we recommend booking a private taxi.

Driving: While driving offers scenic views, parking can be difficult due to limited space. It’s often more convenient to park in La Spezia and take a train into Riomaggiore. If you choose to drive, you’ll follow the directions to La Spezia and proceed on the SP370 road toward Riomaggiore. We recommend booking a rental car in advance to ensure you have a car waiting for you.
