History Of Hotel Delle Rose

Hotel Delle Rose has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century, when it was originally built as a private residence before becoming the charming hotel you can enjoy today.

Establishment And Early Years

The Hotel Delle Rose was established in 1956 by Mr. Adelmo Ceresi with the support of his wife Carmen. They transformed an elegant mansion built in the mid-1920s into the welcoming hotel that has delighted guests for decades. Before becoming a hotel, the building has an interesting past – it was originally constructed in 1908 as the residence of Admiral Arturo Costantini.

The admiral specifically designed his home with features to ensure “healthy rest,” paying careful attention to the property’s exposure to sunshine and natural elements. Since its conversion to a hotel, the Delle Rose has maintained a family-run atmosphere, operating continuously since 1959.

Architectural Features

When you visit Hotel Delle Rose, you’ll be staying in a true historic villa that showcases beautiful early 20th-century Italian architecture. The building sits picturesquely at the foot of Rapallo’s eastern hill, offering charming views and a peaceful setting away from the bustle of the city center.

The admiral’s original design considerations are still evident in the property’s layout and orientation. These thoughtful elements contribute to the hotel’s relaxing atmosphere that guests appreciate. The structure maintains many of its historic characteristics while providing modern comforts like air conditioning in all rooms.

Just a 10-minute walk from Rapallo’s seaside promenade, the hotel’s location combines historical charm with convenience for exploring the beautiful Tigullio Gulf and nearby Santa Margherita Ligure.
